Finding Housing
Addiction Care Coordination by Akron Say Nope to Dope
Assistance for residents of Portage and Summit Counties who are struggling with drug addiction
to find hope and recovery. Services provided may include assistance finding local or out-of-state
treatment facilities, transportation to treatment facilities, help finding transitional housing,
referrals to various outpatient counseling and medically assisted treatment services, educational
programs for addicts and family members.
Clothing, Food Pantry, Household Items
Basic Needs Assistance by Our Community Hunger Center
Provides assistance with food, personal care items, clothing, household supplies, and help
finding other assistance. Proof of income and photo I.D. required, program helps those with
income at or below 188% of the federal poverty guidelines. Services residents in Summit,
Cuyahoga, and Geauga counties.
MH Treatment, Transitional Youth
Bellefaire JCB-Summit
Outpatient Therapy, Outpatient Psychiatry, In-Home Therapy, IHBT-FFT, In-Home Therapeutic Behavioral Services, Day Treatment Group Services, CANS Assessment, School Based Counseling in Springfield Township Schools. All trauma-informed services. Services are all Medicaid only except Day Treatment Group Services and School Based Services. Ages 6-18 for all services except Outpatient Therapy. Outpatient Therapy ages 6+. Psychiatry Services do not require clients to receive other services at this agency.

Binders by Genderbands
Genderbands offers gently used chest binders to those who identify somewhere on the
trans-masculine spectrum and are low on funds. This program provides a free chest binder
and educational resources on how to use them correctly. Please apply only if you have no other means of getting a
binder. Binders are only for those in the transgender community, cosplayers are not
eligible.

Care Coordination by Summit County Public Health (SCPH)
The SCPH Care Coordination Unit helps Summit County residents connect with community
services that are available to them and to assist residents through the process of getting
the help they need. Outreach specialists will work to assist clients with health care access,
medication assistance, transportation, housing, counseling, dental care, food assistance,
utility assistance, and vision/hearing needs.

Outpatient counseling in office & telehealth, ages 16+, trauma-informed, culturally competent & lgbtqia+ affirming. Specialties of EMDR, Art Therapy, & Embodied Therapy. Private pay, sliding fee scale offered, can provide superbills for private insurance out of netwok benefit reimbursement.

Provide individual, couple and family counseling; peer recovery support; psychiatry; case management and access to community resources. Trauma informed care; EMDR available; peer recovery support. Free Parenting Classes for Summit County residents. Available in person and telehealth. Financial assistance for services available; accepts most insurance. Openings available.

Clothing
Clothing Ministry by Trinity United Church of Christ
Clothing for children and adults who are residents of Summit County. General clothing, shoes,
and seasonal clothing available. Limited supply of personal items (underwear, socks, towels,
linens, blankets) and miscellaneous donated household items. The Clothing Ministry is open
the 2nd Saturday and last Wednesday each month – residents may attend once per month.
MH Treatment
Coleman Health Services
Outpatient MH Counseling for those 5 years of age and up. Case management for youth and adults. Medication Management services for youth 7+ and adults. After initial visit cousneling can be offered in-person or telehealth for those identified as appropriate. LGBTQ+ affirimg staff along with EMDR options, and CBT-Psychosis trained staff. Sand Tray ad Play Therapy options for younger kids.
Parenting Support
Coleman Pregnancy Center by Coleman Professional Services
We happily provide services to women who suspect they are pregnant, know they are pregnant,
or have a child under age three. We also provide services to fathers and families when
applicable. We offer care before, after, and beyond their baby’s birth. Services at this facility
include: pregnancy testing, prenatal vitamins, individual pregnancy education, individual
parenting education, individual nutritional wellness checks, individual budgeting assistance,
individual job seeking skills training, material assistance (diapers, baby clothes, blankets, etc.),
resource and referral information, emotional support, individual maternal coping skills, adoption
information, and assessment of needs related to the pregnancy.

Community Pregnancy Center
Provides free pregnancy testing on-site, confidential pregnancy options counseling, abortion
education, community referrals, birth control education, STD education, physical, emotional,
and spiritual support, maternity, baby and toddlers clothing to pregnant to residents of Summit
County.

Crisis Intervention by Victim Assistance Program of Summit County
Provides crisis intervention to individuals, facilitate group intervention sessions to help
communities after a victimization and/or tragedy, and also provides on-scene assistance to
alleviate the emotional concerns and questions of victims.
Dental Care
Dental Care Services by AxessPointe Community Health Center
Provides high quality services to protect the family’s dental health and promote good oral health
habits. This program provides: cleanings, dental exams, diagnostic x-rays, extractions, fillings,
fluoride treatments, pediatric exams, referrals to oral surgeons, and sealants. This office accepts
Medicaid, Medicare, and most commercial insurance plans. Sliding Fee Scale is available for
qualifying patients.
Dental Care
Dental Care by Locust Dental Center
Provides extractions, root canals, dentures, crowns, bridges, and fillings to Summit County
residents. Locust Dental Center accepts Medicaid, offers pre-payment discounts to patients,
and offer senior citizen discounts. Locust Dental Center also offers same day emergency
services.
Household Items, Clothing
Elizabeth Clark Emergency Fund by Goodwill Industries of Akron
The Elizabeth Clark Emergency Fund was established to be a general emergency fund and today
is utilized in collaboration with other organizations to help address the emergency needs of
individuals and families. This is a fund of last resort and is limited to assistance with obtaining:
clothing, furniture, and household items.

Emergency Clothing by Inner City Hope Crisis Clothing Ministry
Provides emergency clothing for individuals and families who have experienced a crisis situation.
Items provided include clothing, shoes, personal grooming supplies, and diapers. Assistance is based on availability of donations. Clients may visit
once every six months.
Parenting Support
Family Resource Center by Summit County Juvenile Court
This program serves families with children who reside in Summit County. The FRC offers
assistance to youth and their families through case management, referrals to appropriate
community services, and resources and follow-up aimed at encouraging full engagement
in available services.
Clothing, Emergency Food Resources
Family Stability Program by Hope & Healing Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit & Medina Counties
Assistance might include food, clothing, housing/utility assistance, transportation, and career
planning. Must have a minor child(ren)/be pregnant and meet income eligibility guidelines.
